Chinese coal is the world's largest single source of carbon emissions. Energy consumption in India doubled between 1990 and 2012; the nation's per capita consumption is one-third of the global average. Each year two million Bangladeshi' children perish from waterborne disease. In1990 planet earth was burning 9,240,000 tons of petroleum daily. The earth's populace is some where near 5% of the total; of every four barrels of oil in existence America used one. He describes the catastrophic effects of exploitative industrial practices while never losing respect for the human beings who work in those industries.
